What's new in saldiaShop

saldiaShop keeps getting better. Here is what landed recently, in chronological order — honest, concrete, no marketing fog.

Updates with the puzzle label belong to an app or an add-on product and are not part of the standard scope.

ChatGPT Shopping — your catalogue in ChatGPT’s answers

More and more people ask ChatGPT before they buy. With the new app, your products appear in ChatGPT’s shopping results — with image, price, availability and a link to your shop. You activate it yourself in mySaldia or through the support portal. Note: OpenAI currently offers shopping results from merchant feeds and buying directly in the chat only in the US. In Switzerland, you use the feed for ChatGPT Ads today; the other features are ready and go live as soon as OpenAI enables them here.

  • Visible in ChatGPT — Your catalogue goes to OpenAI per storefront, language and country. You map brand, GTIN, colour, size and condition just as for Google Shopping — an existing Google Shopping mapping is copied with one click. Single products or whole categories can be excluded.

  • Prices and stock kept current — When a price, stock level or status changes, the update goes to OpenAI continuously through the Delta API — not only with the next full feed.

  • Checkout right in the chat — Optionally, your customers buy right inside ChatGPT. The order arrives in your shop as a regular order, with stock deducted; status, shipping and returns are reported back to ChatGPT automatically.

  • The basis for ChatGPT Ads — The same product feed powers ads in ChatGPT. Per product, you decide whether it may be used for them.

Out of beta saldiaSearch app

AI assistant for every saldiaShop with saldiaSearch

The beta phase is over. The AI shopping assistant now advises in every saldiaShop that uses the saldiaSearch app — even when nobody is in the store.

  • Wherever questions come up — In the search field, on searches without results, on the product page, with available alternatives for sold-out items and with matching accessories in the cart — now switched on in every saldiaShop with saldiaSearch.

  • Clean on phones — The “Question about this product?” line and the alternatives for sold-out items no longer push the mobile buy bar off the screen.

  • Reporting with comparison — The “AI recommendations” page shows every placement compared with the previous period, with a trend line and the chat conversations per entry point.

“Price on request”, easier to find in Google and AI search and more Swiss Post services

Prices can be hidden, Google and AI assistants read your opening hours and services straight from the shop, Swiss Post offers more extra services, and a captcha works even with an ad blocker.

  • Visible in Google and AI search — You maintain opening hours, services and rating in the merchant area. They sit in your shop in Schema.org format, where Google and AI assistants read them — plus company details per storefront with a service area.

  • Price on request — Hide prices per product or for the whole shop. Instead of price and cart button, customers see “price on request”, optionally linked to your contact form.

  • More Swiss Post services Die Schweizerische Post app — Signature with Economy, the Assurance extra service, default extra services per shipping method and Saturday delivery with Priority. If an item is out of stock, checkout no longer shows a delivery date.

  • Image captcha as a fallback — If an ad blocker blocks reCAPTCHA, an image captcha appears instead. Fewer enquiries and sign-ups get lost.

  • Comatic Comatic app — Many new sync options, including the direction per field, “price on request” and transport restrictions from Comatic fields, and new shop customers sent straight to Comatic.

  • bexio without losses during outages bexio app — If bexio does not respond, pending entries wait for the next run instead of giving up — nothing gets lost.

Promotions with labels, shipping for specific products only and clearer Google Shopping messages

Promotions show right on the product, bulky goods get their own shipping method, and Google Shopping tells you clearly what is wrong. Galaxus, bexio and the cookie banner also gain finer settings.

In the shop

  • Promotions as labels — The name of a catalogue promotion can appear as a label on the product. The discount badge and strikethrough price can be hidden per promotion, and the bonus types have clearer names.

  • Shipping for specific products only — Shipping methods that are only offered when the cart contains nothing but specific products — bulky goods, for example.

  • Cookie banner per device — What appears after a rejection — nothing, a notice or a cookie icon — is set separately for desktop and phone.

Marketplaces and accounting

  • A clearer Google Shopping Google Shopping app — The product list shows Merchant Center issues with their impact, one line per issue. Optionally, an e-mail arrives when the sync with Google runs into trouble: off, admin only, or admin and merchant.

  • Galaxus Galaxus app — A log of all EDI documents with send and resend right in the order, and Galaxus prices tiered by price level.

  • bexio bexio app — The checkout comment can optionally go into the bexio order, and a separate setting decides who manages the booking accounts — shop or bexio.

Meta Pixel with Conversions API and the Odoo integration

Two new apps: purchases count at Meta even when an ad blocker is running, and shops using Odoo sync stock and orders automatically.

Meta Pixel Meta Pixel app

  • Purchases straight from the server — Purchases also go to Meta directly from the server through the Conversions API. Orders from customers with an ad blocker count too, and your Facebook and Instagram ads are measured more accurately.

  • Follows your cookie banner — The pixel respects the consent your visitors give in the cookie banner.

  • Replaces “Facebook Pixel” — The old “Facebook Pixel” app is retired. We set up the new app for you.

Odoo Odoo app

  • Stock to Odoo — Shop stock goes to a dedicated location in Odoo, matched by SKU.

  • Orders from Odoo — Orders from Odoo delivery orders arrive in the shop automatically. You decide whether an order is only imported when shop stock covers it; otherwise it stays open and is retried later.

  • The usual order e-mail — Optionally, the usual order e-mail goes to the merchant for every imported order.

Found by AI assistants, more targeted bexio sync and Google Shopping with a health check

Your shop introduces itself cleanly to search engines and AI assistants, bexio only syncs what you select and what has changed, and Google Shopping checks every day that the sync is running.

Getting found

  • llms.txt per storefront — Every storefront has its own llms.txt — an overview of your shop for AI assistants. It and the sitemap are announced on every page response.

  • Structured data that is right — Products carry the GTIN from the EAN code, condition and price validity in Schema.org format; empty values are dropped. Site-wide website markup is added too.

  • Clear rules for AI — robots.txt allows search and AI answers but no AI training on your content. Each storefront lists its own sitemap, and the home page and categories get a meta description when you have not set one.

Integrations

  • More targeted bexio bexio app — Full sync asks what should run: import products, or send products, contacts or orders. You choose when contacts are updated, and unchanged products are skipped.

  • Google Shopping with a health check Google Shopping app — A daily check verifies the sync with Google. Temporary errors are retried automatically, and during larger disruptions products stay queued instead of getting lost.

In the shop

  • “Choose another variant” — When one variant is sold out but another is available, customers see “choose another variant” instead of “out of stock”.

New (beta) saldiaSearch app

saldiaSearch — an AI shopping assistant that advises from your catalogue

In a store, people ask; in an online shop, they type into the search field and give up. The AI assistant in saldiaSearch advises where nobody else is around — only with products that really exist in your shop. The search underneath has been rebuilt at the same time. The assistant starts as a beta and is enabled per shop.

The assistant

  • Where the question comes up — In the empty search window, via the AI button in the search field, on searches without results, with “Question about this product?” on the product page, with alternatives for sold-out items and in the cart. It never opens by itself.

  • Advises from the catalogue — Answers come with product cards, price and an add-to-cart button. Compatibility questions are answered from your spare-part and accessory links — and it cannot invent products.

  • Answers to shop questions — It answers “Where is my order?” with status, date and tracking number — guests via order number and e-mail. You enter shipping costs, return periods or opening hours in a free-text field. It answers in German, English and French and sets no cookies.

The search underneath

  • Search window with filters — Categories, brands and product features with counts, price as a slider, “in stock only” and supplier stock — the filters update live, without leaving the page.

  • Finds what goes by another name — First “Did you mean …”, then search by meaning instead of letters — also on search and category pages, computed on our own Swiss infrastructure.

  • Reports in the back office — Searches without results as a worklist, and for each AI recommendation placement impressions, clicks, add-to-carts and the most-clicked products.

Delivery dates by weekday, “choose options” in product blocks and accounting in step

More control in checkout and product blocks, and CashCtrl, Comatic, bexio and saldiaMaatoo sync more precisely with your shop.

In the shop

  • Delivery date by weekday — In checkout, you set the weekdays you deliver on — the calendar offers only those days.

  • “Choose options” in product blocks — Set per block: products with options or variants lead to the product page instead of going straight into the cart. Products without options still go in with one click.

Integrations

  • CashCtrl reports “paid” CashCtrl app — When an invoice is paid in CashCtrl, the order in your shop switches automatically to the status you choose.

  • Comatic extra fields as features Comatic app — You map extra fields from Comatic articles to product features in the shop; every sync writes the values along.

  • saldiaMaatoo in real time saldiaMaatoo — When a customer’s group changes, saldiaMaatoo knows right away — so campaigns reach the right group.

  • bexio in the order’s language bexio app — Product names in bexio orders appear in the language the order was placed in.

Also included saldiaPay refunds shown clearly in the order Purchases in GA4 format for Google Tag Manager Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager app
