New VAT Rates in Switzerland from 2024

On 25 September 2022, Swiss voters approved the AHV stabilization reform. This decision brings changes to VAT rates starting 1 January 2024.
The standard VAT rate will increase from 7.7% to 8.1%. At the same time, the accommodation tax rate rises to 3.8%, while the reduced rate is set at 2.6%.

Steps for bexio users
For saldia users with a bexio integration, there are a few manual steps required:
1. Open the "bexio Products" menu item in the navigation
2. Select "Settings" in the submenu
3. Click the "VAT" button
4. Change the VAT rate from 7.7% to 8.1%
5. Save your changes
