What's new in saldiaBuild

• Edit whole paragraphs CMS module — One click on a text opens the whole paragraph, bold text and links included. This now also works for texts in the header, footer and recurring blocks.

• Swap links and images CMS module — Change a link target right in the toolbar. Clicking an image opens the media library, where you pick another image or upload a new one.

• “Change with AI” CMS module — If a paragraph needs rewriting or a new design, hand it to the chat with one click. The AI knows right away which spot you mean.

• A clear editing mode CMS module — While you edit, a note at the bottom of the preview shows the mode, with an “Exit editing” button. The CMS opens on your pages, and every row has a labelled “Edit” button.

• CSV and HTML files in the chat — Upload lists as CSV or a draft from ChatGPT & co. as HTML. The AI works with them, and the files are never published.

• Sharper photos — Uploaded images are compressed more gently and stored up to 2560 pixels wide. WebP and AVIF files that are already optimised stay untouched.

• Checkout on the live website Shop module — Your website stays fast and static, and the order goes straight to saldiaBuild. All amounts are calculated on the server, not in the browser.

• Shipping rate table Shop module — Several shipping methods such as own delivery, parcel or pickup, priced by postcode, quantity or parcel weight. For pickups you set the pickup place, and it appears in both order mails.

• Invoice, prepayment, cash Shop module — Besides TWINT and card via saldiaPay, you can offer payment by invoice, prepayment or cash. The order is recorded and confirmed right away.

• Mails with your logo — Order confirmations, booking and form mails carry your logo and your shop’s name instead of saldiaBuild.

• Short order numbers Shop module — Order numbers like “B-7KQ4M2XA” are easy to read out on the phone and to type into a bank transfer.

• Claude Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra — Since 15 September, the model menu also offers the new top models from Anthropic and OpenAI. The choice applies per project.

• Claude Opus 5.5 for changes — Since 29 September, Opus 5.5 handles your change requests in the chat by default. Nothing to switch.

• Mails from your own domain — Form, order and booking mails from your website come from your address, for example info@yourcompany.ch. We set up the required DNS records or show them to you to copy.

• “Stop” keeps the work — When you stop the AI, everything it has done so far stays. The previous state is in the history if you want to go back.

• Files as downloads in the chat — When the AI creates a file for you, such as a PDF or a spreadsheet, you get it as a download link right in the chat.

• “Plan” mode — Next to the send button you switch between “Plan” and “Build”. While planning, the AI changes nothing on your website and only advises you.

• Answers with one click — When there are several options, the AI suggests two to four and marks its recommendation. One click is your answer.

• A proposal before big changes — For sweeping changes across many pages, the AI first presents a short proposal in your language and only builds after your OK. A request for one section no longer restyles the whole website.

• Long jobs in stages — The AI works through big tasks in saved stages and carries on automatically instead of breaking off.

• It says what it does — Short progress notes show what the AI is working on. The step list stays collapsed with the current step on top. At the end it sums up what changed.

• First draft with real images — The first draft shows fitting photos in the hero and the key sections instead of placeholders.

• Claude Opus 5 as the default — More natural texts, cleanly linked subpages and a better eye for layout. Your next generation runs on Opus 5 automatically.

• Fable 5 stays available — If you want to try another model, pick Claude Fable 5 in the model menu before generating.

• Faithful import — With “copy 1:1”, the AI gets a screenshot of your existing website as a reference and rebuilds its structure and design instead of reinterpreting it.

• “Different layout” means a new layout — Ask for a different layout and the AI redesigns the page instead of just reshuffling the existing sections.

• SEO and AI search built in — Sitemap, robots.txt, structured data and an llms.txt for AI assistants are generated on every publish, with your primary domain’s address.

• Website check — At the top of the settings: Speed opens the Google PageSpeed measurement, Security checks your published website for exposed keys and insecure content.

• Manage DNS records yourself — For domains hosted with saldia, you add MX, TXT, CNAME and other records right in the domain overview, for example for your mailbox.

• Settings reorganised — SEO, forms with spam protection, brand and domains sit in clear, expandable rows instead of nested cards.

• Blog without AI — Write, edit and delete posts, with a cover image from the media library and a toolbar for bold, italic, headings and lists.

• Click texts in the preview — Fix typos and small changes right in the preview, no AI needed.

Shop module Shop module

• Manage products yourself — Create, edit and delete products with price, SKU and variants. Buy buttons and prices on the website update automatically.

• VAT and shipping — Prices including or excluding VAT, a flat shipping fee and free shipping above an order value. Cart and checkout show subtotal, shipping and VAT clearly separated.

• Testing with test cards — In test mode, the settings show test cards to copy so you can run through a purchase safely.

AI models

• Claude Fable 5 is back — Anthropic’s most capable model can be selected again since 1 July. By default, Claude Opus still builds your website.

Workspaces and team

• Work together — Invite team members to your workspace and assign roles. If two people open the same project, one works on it while the other sees it read-only.

• Clone and move projects — Copy a project as a template or move it to another workspace, for example when you hand it over to a client.

• Your brand in one place — Logo, colours, font, image style, tone and style guide sit in one panel. Saving and applying to the website are separate, so you decide when the AI rebuilds.

Domains

• Three ways to your own domain — Connect it yourself with a CNAME record, point the nameservers to saldia or let us set everything up.

• Buy domains and manage them centrally — Buy domains right in the workspace and assign them to projects. One overview lists all connected domains with their status, grouped by project.

• Primary domain with redirects — If a project has several domains, all others redirect permanently to the primary domain. Google sees one website instead of duplicate content.
